During my senior year I took the course Experimental Interface Design, and for our final project I designed an application that fulfilled a need I saw in the world.
The Problem
I love visiting art museums, but I also know that with the rise of technology and entertainment that can be accessed from a couch, museum visitation is in decline. I wanted to design something that might motivate people to go explore these amazing cultural treasures.
The Idea
Like many people, I often take photos the art I see in museums, but these photos often get lost in my camera roll. I thought: is there a way to leverage this instinct to take photos in museums in a way that creates more of an interactive experience between user and environment?
The Solution
My solution involved designing an application called cYourate, which allows museum visitors to interact with and save the art they view. To learn more, view my presentation below
